Hello, and welcome to Snapshots.

Snapshots is a one-stop shop for all things cultural, sporting and news-related, with a bit of creative writing thrown in for good measure.

This blog aims to take an impartial, balanced and fair look at everything that is going on in the world, whilst remaining entertaining, informative and a bit quirky at the same time. Whether it’s reviews, playlists, round-ups, longer features, creative pieces, or other things besides, Snapshots will have it covered.

So that’s it. Here you’ll find some snapshots of many different things. More will follow very soon.

Just to introduce myself, I’m Alex, and I’m a film and TV buff/ general culture vulture with a wide range of interests. Whilst on a year abroad in France in 2014 as part of University, I decided to write more frequently about all things film and TV-related. And so this blog (originally called Screenshots) was born.

In July 2015 I widened the net to include more of my interests – arts and culture in general, sport and current affairs too – and the blog became Snapshots.

As of now, (November 2017 at time of writing), I am expanding the blog still further, so watch this space.

I can be contacted at alex.nicholson08@btinternet.com and I will be happy to answer any queries. This blog is also on social media and can be found on both Facebook and Twitter at the addresses below. You can like/ follow for the latest updates.

Thank you for visiting my bit of the blogosphere, and I hope you enjoy reading.
